.While writing a piece, a man found liable for rape met another man found liable for rape. Both have admitted on tape to assaulting people. So, what did the rapist have to say? Well, they decided that on St. Patrick’s Day—the day that celebrates the story of a Welsh immigrant to Ireland who brought a new religion to the country. (the story is false by the way)
Well the man found liable for assault would talk about how towns in Ireland were overrun by immigrants. He is referring here to the use of immigration processing centres, where immigrants are kept before their claims are processed. He also said Ireland was "on the cusp of losing its Irishness".
The idea that Ireland is lousing it's irishness because of immigrants is let's be frank, madness. Irish kids and adults alike consume mostly American and British media. Politics observers like myself know more about the american president then the Irish one. To say on stage at the white house that ireland is "on the cusp of lousing it's irishness" without saying after it "because of you Americans" is to either lie or be a racist.
Now, this dog-whistling is something you would hope would be rejected. Instead, we have a flow of agreements that build into further racism, some of the most heinous things I have seen in a long time, coming from people who claim to be my neighbours.
Into this steps Mr. Garron Noone, with 1.7 million TikTok followers and 270,000 YouTube followers, to say, “There absolutely is an immigration issue in Ireland that's plain to see.” And he is correct. What is the issue? I will tell you plain and simple: we don’t fund enough housing and processing. Any further issues, and you just have a problem with people talking without an Irish accent or without white skin.
So, what did Garron say to explain his view on what the issues are? Well, he said, “The systems we have in place are being taken advantage of.” A statement that is, in fact, not an issue with immigration but an issue of welfare and should be treated as such.
The words, however, continue with him saying that “the government does not allow people to express their concerns about that.” I will inform you that people have burned down immigration centres and accommodation in Ireland, so I think perhaps Garron should think about what burning to death in a hotel is like before saying that.

He goes on to say that Ireland continues to become “one of the richest countries in the world,” despite experts actually placing our real economy at around 60th in a list of 191, which is below the likes of Kenya, Iraq, Romania, and the financial crisis that is Greece. So why does Garron think this? Well, it’s because he does not understand economics.
Ireland has the 3rd highest GDP per capita in the world, but it fits in along with the top 8 to 11 places on the list that are either tax havens or oil-rich nations. With america being the real highest.
So, how does Ireland’s tax haven status work? Ireland will offer state aid to companies opening up shop in Ireland, and in return, they will base their European headquarters in Ireland. See, while there is corporation tax in the EU, because of freedom of trade, the tax is only charged at the home country, so they list Ireland as their home and pay the tax here. Unfortunately, that means all of their European sales are registered as Irish, inflating the size of our economy. Therefore, anyone with a basic understanding of the Irish economy would not use the figure Mr. Noone is using to back up his claim.
The next thing Mr. Noone says is that “our towns and especially our cities are becoming much less safe,” which is slightly true in some areas. But I would point out that crime is still down from its 2005-2015 peak, with our population increasing by about 25%, so in fact, it’s kind of bullshit. He follows that line with “that’s not just because of immigration,” which I would venture to say is one hell of a claim. It’s not really from immigration whatsoever; it’s because of poverty and just people (Irish-born included) being horrible pieces of shit.
Garron, a Mayo man who lives in Dublin, Dublin is the only county in the entirety of Ireland where an openly far-right party have a council seat and mayo is the only county (outsides it's home of meath) to elect an aontú TD (a anti abortion party) the td also worked for a closed border party as a teenager.
So when a man from these places tells me that if I can’t see that, I “have not left my house.” (Something the sufferer of agoraphobia wold know about) I would suggest the Dublin-based man respectfully, Fuck Off.
I despise Dublin; I hate it, and it does not represent the rest of the country, just like London does not represent the UK. In fact, even more so. In Ireland, there is a big divide between city and country people, and while that is disappearing as young people have grown up with the internet it is still true that inner-city kids did not act the same as country kids, and the same is true, (though to a lesser extent) in adults.
Quite frankly, reading hundreds of comments saying that it’s not racist to want all the people in your country to be white and not have names like Mohammad is a little hard to do and also accept the words of one of the most popular Irish people on TikTok saying, “People all over Ireland are concerned.” Let's be clear If you want a white ethno-state, you are racist, but you are too stupid to see that.
The thing people miss is that Irish people do not want to work for bad pay; they are also (as a group) kind of lazy. If you, like I have, talked to people who work in construction, then you would know that if it’s anyone, it’s the Irish people that are on benefits or in low-end jobs, refusing to help wider society—not immigrants. While there certainly are SOME immigrants who are taking advantage, there are far more Irish people doing so, and even as groups, immigrants do more real work then Ireland born individuals. While in terms of crime, immigrants commit less crime than people from a similar economic background.
In reality, the only issue I can have with immigrants as a group is that they don’t look like me and don’t sound like me. It is the only thing most of them actually fall into, and even then (this bit would be funny were it not for the stupidity), the biggest group for immigration into Ireland are the Brit’s, with about 250,000 people. Next, it’s the Poles, who are in the EU, with about 120,000, and then the biggest non-EU/CTA country, the Indians, with about 70,000, representing just over 1% of the population.
O and By the way, Ireland has a healthcare shortage, and while they represent just over 1% of the population they also represent 15% of nurses.
Now opponents to this claim would say (if their not too far gone) that Mr Noone did imply that racism was bad and that the "extremes" were bad. I would however say this is the fools version of "I'm not racist, but...". This is also seen when he claims people want to take "the refugees we are able to take" with one look at the youtube comment section or one chat with a person who agrees with what the rapist had to say showing you in fact people do not want to take "the refugees we are able to take" In reality Mr Noone like many is either lacking in understanding as to the complexities of Ireland’s place on the world stage and how politics works. Or just he's racist and just does not know it.
UPDATE : Many media outlets covered Mr Noone taking down his accounts (in actuality his YouTube was always up) he has now returned.
He say's some of his points where vague and goes on to say people were "making me out to be a raciest" "all the worst things you can say about a person" he also said that the far right using him as tool was "absolutely horrifying" but also saying plenty far right people disagreed with him and "don't agree with me on almost everything" which once again i would say: check the comments of the video.
Next he covers the "our country is becoming less safe and that's not just because of immigration" line by saying he was talking about antisocial behaviour like drugs and how "the types of drugs have changed" he say's (regarding safety) "that is not misinformation" and "that is how people feel" though the point is more so, not that drugs are not a problem, the point is that it is not an issue with immigrants but Mr Noone did linked it (at least in part) to immigration.
He say's "most people understood what he was saying" which quite frankly no they did not.
In the end Mr Noone does struggle to communicate (even in this follow up) what he is saying. So to clear up any confusion is Mr Noone a racist likely no (but still he and i can't say for sure) what we can say for sure is that he has helped racists spreed their message and seeing people in the comments you can tell where their is a mix of labelling what Mr Noone said as "opinion" when in reality about 50% was just factually false or saying he said nothing wrong.
By the way to all the people who call individualises "the left" your kinda proving the point about you being stupid as f
